Glenn Ellen Hills

This garden sits high in the hills of the Sonoma Valley with sweeping views of vineyard and oak chaparrals. Heavily browsed by deer this garden project required careful plant selection to please the owner as well as displease the deer. With very hot, dry summers and rocky soils a mix of native plants, tough ornamentals and beautiful architectural grasses the garden thrived with minimal plant material chewed by deer. Planted in 2022-23.
